Hambledon Outside School Hours & Vacation Care

Hambledon Combined Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) & Vacation Care (VC) first opened in 1977 and has operated from the Hambledon State School since 1995. This is a licensed not for profit Centre, registered with the National Childcare Accreditation Council. We are licensed by the Department of Families for 30 places in Before School Care (BSC), 55 places in After School Care (ASC) and 70 places for VC. Our Service offers Child Care Benefit through Centrelink to families who are eligible. This service also provides care for children with additional needs and receives support and funding from Cairns and District Inclusion Support Agency.

During our BSC & ASC programs children are able to choose between a wide range of activities such as:

  • Computer Games
  • Indoor /outdoor sports/games
  • Music & Dance
  • Cooking
Our Vacation Care programs offer activities including excursions to:

  • Skating
  • Bowling
  • Picnics
  • Golf
